Do you have questions about our wines, our organic approach, or ordering online? Find the answers below. For any questions not covered here, contact us at domaine.benastra@gmail.com.

    Are your wines certified organic?

Yes. All Benastra wines come from organic farming, certified by Ecocert. This means that the vines are grown without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers, while respecting the natural balance of the soil and the ecosystem.

    Do Benastra wines contain sulphites?

Sulphites are used sparingly, to the minimum necessary to ensure the stability and conservation of the wines. Like all wines, our bottles are marked “Contains sulphites” in accordance with current regulations. Joseph Paillé strives to limit its use to what is strictly necessary.

    What is IGP Côtes Catalanes?

TheProtected Geographical Indication (PGI) Côtes Catalanes is a regulatory framework which guarantees the Roussillon origin of the grapes and their vinification in the defined geographical area, while leaving the winemaker great freedom in the choice of grape varieties and vinification methods. It is an appellation that highlights the Catalan terroir in all its diversity.

    What is AOP Maury?

The Protected Designation of Origin (AOP) Maury is reserved for natural sweet wines produced in the commune of Maury and some neighboring communes in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Maury is an alcohol-fortified wine, made mainly from the Grenache Noir grape variety. Its black shale terroir gives it a unique depth and aromatic complexity.

How are the bottles packaged for shipping?

Each bottle is individually packed in shock-resistant packaging specially designed for the transport of wines. We take the greatest care in packaging so that your wines arrive in perfect condition. In the event of damage upon receipt, please report it to the carrier and contact us within 48 hours.

    Can I return my order?

Yes. In accordance with the regulations, you have a right of withdrawal of 14 calendar days from receipt of your order, without having to justify yourself. Bottles must be returned intact and unopened, in their original packaging. Return costs remain your responsibility. For more details, consult our General Conditions of Sale.

    Can I offer Benastra wines?

Yes, several options allow you to offer Benastra wines. You can create a box of 6 bottles or a Triptych of 3 bottles to offer — with a personal message printed on a plaque, free. If you don’t know the recipient’s tastes, opt for a Benastra gift card (from €50, valid for 1 year, sent by email).

    How to store Benastra wines?

We recommend storing bottles lying down, in a cool place (between 10 and 15°C), away from direct light and vibration, with moderate humidity (70 to 80%). The traditional cellar remains ideal. Red wines for aging will benefit from storage for several years; wines to drink younger (natural sparkling) should be consumed within 2 to 3 years.
